Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD)
The CCD classes are offered to students from grades 1 through 12. Sacrament preparation classes are offered to students in second and eighth grades. Second graders prepare for First Reconciliation (Confession) and First Communion. Eighth graders prepare for Confirmation. The preparation period for the Sacraments is a two-year period. Good attendance is necessary in both the preceding grade and the actual sacrament grade. Students unable to fulfill the attendance requirement will be expected to fulfill this obligation by attending another year before receiving the sacrament.
Registration is in the months of August and September downstairs at the McIntyre Hall, please bring the Baptismal Certificate of the person that is taking the class and the fee. More information will be posted in the bulletin a month prior of the registration. It is important that at least one parent or guardian attend the first day of class.
The CCD classes are from October through May and are located at the McIntyre Hall on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
